Effort System
A downloadable One-Page RPG
This is a simple and adaptable ruleset for quick play when a system is needed. Since it doesn't focus on advancement, it's better suited for one-shots or short campaigns.
To play, you'll need copies of the character sheet, pencils, erasers, and 3 twenty-sided dice (3d20). Having other players is also useful.

We were only two players and it was difficult to choose wether we spent an effort or not, counting on the chances we had left. I guess we wanted to roll too much, but it's a habit to take.
The system feels elegant but we had lots of failures, maybe we were unlucky.
Really good! I enjoyed the read and would love to try it at the table (I have little opportunity lately but will look for the chance).
